MT195 / MT295 ↔ camt.110
1 pair on this page · Use case: Investigation
Business purpose
An investigation request about a prior payment. In Swift's Exceptions and Investigations service, camt.110 is the ISO 20022 request message corresponding to MT195/MT295 investigation traffic.
What does NOT map cleanly
This is a business-purpose correspondence, not a field-for-field translation. Swift lists MT195/295 among the MT equivalents of camt.110 (Investigation Request); camt.111 is the response message. Swift says camt.110/111 exchange is possible only through Case Management's Case Orchestrator, not bilaterally. For an open case, track the original payment, the investigation request and the eventual response separately; sending a request is not itself a resolution or proof that the underlying payment was returned. Other camt messages may serve different investigation functions, but the cited Swift mapping does not designate camt.026, camt.027 or camt.087 as replacements for MT195/295.
Migration notes
Swift's 21 September 2026 update moves deferred Standards Release 2026 exceptions-and-investigations message changes to 12 June 2027. That date is a release date, not a newly confirmed deadline for phasing out every MT investigation message. Check Swift's latest Case Management guidance before relying on older November 2026/2027 milestones.
