Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PaymentBrief ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit paymentbrief.com.

Information We Collect

Contact form: If you contact us via the contact form, we collect your name, email, and message content to respond to your enquiry.

Newsletter subscription: If you subscribe to our newsletter via Beehiiv, we collect your email address and any optional fields you choose to provide. This data is processed by Beehiiv on our behalf.

Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us. GA4 collects pseudonymised usage data — pages visited, session duration, referral source, and device and browser information. IP addresses are anonymised by Google before storage.

Advertising: We may display advertising on parts of PaymentBrief through Google AdSense. When advertising is enabled, Google or its partners may use cookies or, on mobile devices, advertising identifiers to serve ads, control how often the same ad is shown (frequency capping), and produce aggregated reports about ad performance. Our default approach is contextual, non-personalised advertising — ads selected based on the content of the page rather than your browsing behaviour. Personalised advertising will not be served until a region-appropriate consent mechanism is in place. Cookies or identifiers may still be set for non-personalised ads where Google requires them for frequency capping and aggregated reporting.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Analytics cookies: Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish unique visitors and sessions for traffic measurement.

Advertising cookies and identifiers: If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies for ad serving, frequency capping, and aggregated reporting. These may be set even where ads are non-personalised, because Google still uses them to limit ad repetition and to report on ad performance.

Essential cookies: Cookies strictly necessary for the site to function (for example, session preferences) may be set without consent where applicable.

Third-Party Services

PaymentBrief uses the following third-party services that may process limited information:

  • Google Analytics 4 — site analytics, as described above
  • Google AdSense — advertising delivery, when enabled
  • Beehiiv — newsletter subscription and email delivery
  • Formspree — contact form submission processing
  • Vercel — hosting infrastructure; standard server logs only

These services are contractually bound to protect your data in line with their respective privacy policies. We do not sell personal data to any party.

Your Choices

Opt out of Google Analytics: Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Manage Google ad settings: Visit Google Ads Settings to control how Google personalises advertising across its services.

EEA, UK, and Switzerland visitors: Where the law requires consent before non-essential cookies or personalised advertising, we will provide a consent mechanism before serving such ads or cookies. Until that mechanism is in place, only contextual, non-personalised advertising is served.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion at any time.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing where applicable law provides those rights. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@paymentbrief.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
