This Privacy Policy explains how PaymentBrief ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit paymentbrief.com.

Information We Collect

Contact form: If you contact us via the contact form, we collect your name, email, and message content to respond to your enquiry.

Newsletter subscription: If you subscribe to our newsletter via Beehiiv, we collect your email address and any optional fields you choose to provide. This data is processed by Beehiiv on our behalf.

Analytics: If you allow optional analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which pages are used and how readers reach them. It can process page views, approximate location, referral, device and browser information. On reference tools, we count first searches, filters or result actions using the tool name and a zero/one/many result bucket. The quote calculator counts a first completed comparison, and the tracing guide counts a first scenario selection. These events do not include search text, quote amounts, payment details or the selected scenario. Calculator inputs stay in your browser. We do not send contact-form fields to GA4. Google's treatment of IP addresses depends on the visitor's region and its current product settings; we do not receive individual IP addresses in GA4 reports.

Fonts: Pages currently request Inter and Plus Jakarta Sans stylesheets and font files from Google Fonts. These requests occur when a page loads, independently of your analytics choice, and can disclose your IP address and browser request information to Google. The analytics choice does not control these font requests.

Advertising: PaymentBrief does not currently serve ads. If we enable Google AdSense, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to select ads based on visits to this site or elsewhere on the internet. They may also be used to limit repeated ads and measure performance. We will update this policy and provide applicable consent controls before advertising begins.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Analytics cookies: If you allow analytics, GA4 may set _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish visits. We store your analytics choice in this browser's local storage for up to 180 days, so you do not have to answer on every page. A refusal does not load the GA4 tag.

Advertising cookies and identifiers: If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies for ad serving, frequency capping, and aggregated reporting. These may be set even where ads are non-personalised, because Google still uses them to limit ad repetition and to report on ad performance.

Site storage: The analytics-choice record above is used to remember your preference. The site does not require a visitor account or a sitewide session cookie to read articles. The newsletter form loads when you visit the newsletter page or choose to show it elsewhere; Beehiiv may use its own storage when the form loads.

Third-Party Services

PaymentBrief uses the following third-party services that may process limited information:

• Google Analytics 4 — site analytics, as described above
• Google Fonts — typography files requested on page load
• Google AdSense — advertising delivery, when enabled
• Beehiiv — the form loads on the newsletter page, or after you choose to show it elsewhere; it handles subscriptions and email delivery
• Formspree — contact form submission processing
• Vercel — site hosting and request handling, including service logs

These services process information under their own terms and privacy policies. PaymentBrief does not offer its visitor or subscriber lists for sale.

Your Choices

Analytics choice: Use the “Analytics settings” control in the site footer to allow or refuse GA4 and to change your choice later. Optional analytics is not loaded before you allow it. If you withdraw consent, we stop sending new GA4 events from this browser and attempt to remove its first-party _ga cookies; data already sent is not automatically deleted. You may also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Manage Google ad settings: Visit Google Ads Settings to control how Google personalises advertising across its services.

EEA, UK, and Switzerland visitors: The analytics choice above is separate from any future advertising consent. Before serving ads in these regions, we will verify the applicable Google-certified consent platform requirements and update this notice. Non-personalised ads may still use identifiers.

Data Retention

Contact enquiries are processed through Formspree and the publisher's contact workflow. Newsletter data is managed through Beehiiv. Retention varies by service and purpose; contact us to ask what information we still hold or to request deletion. Unsubscribing stops newsletter delivery but may leave records needed to honour that choice.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing where applicable law provides those rights. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@paymentbrief.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the site and its services change. The "Last updated" date records this page's most recent revision.
